70th ICCF Jubilee Chess 960 World Cup (server) final – qualifiers and start date

The 70th ICCF Jubilee Chess 960 World Cup (server) preliminaries started on 15.02.2021 (74 entries) and now they are finished (on 19.06.2022).

Winners receive a prize in the form of vouchers, each worth EUR 100. Vouchers will be issued by the ICCF Finance Director.

As previously agreed, the 4 best players from each section were promoted to the 70th ICCF Jubilee Chess 960 World Cup final. In addition, the winner of the Diamond Jubilee Chess 960 World Cup can enter directly to the final stage of the 70th ICCF Jubilee World Cup.

Qualifiers (mentioned above) are asked to confirm urgently their participation in the final to TO (with a copy to TD Józef Lubas), but no later than 09 July 2022.

The final (double round robin) will start on 15.08.2022; end date 15.01.2025.

The tournament will be played by webserver with an incremental rate of play (30 days per game, plus 3 days every 1 move, duplication after 20 days; 45 days leave per year, no special leave). Linear conditionals can be entered. The public can see the games live after 10 games are finished in the event; live transmission delayed by 5 moves.

The event will be rated for Chess 960 rating system.

In the final cash prizes of 400 EUR, 250 EUR and 150 EUR will be awarded to the top 3 players. Tie-breaks will not be applied in respect of these cash prizes and instead those players scoring equal points will equally share any prize money due.
Also, in the final occasional medals and certificates will be awarded to the top 3 players (tie-break applies).
