Emilio Delgado (USA) from section 62 didn’t start his games yet and doesn’t answer emails. He will be probably defaulted soon.
Eugen Mantu (GER) playing in five sections (3, 9, 24, 43, 59) submited an application for withdrawal. His application is under consideration.
ICCF Diamond Jubilee Webserver World Cup 18 was initiated on 01.10.2011, however official start date was 30.10.2011.
In the middle of October one replacement happend – one player from Nicaragua was replaced by player from the Netherlands. Statistics slightly changed (in red) because of that – namely number of players from countries involved.

ICCF Diamond Jubilee Webserver World Cup 18 was initiated on 01.10.2011, however official start date is 30.10.2011.
Some small changes happened once again, but without an influence on general statistics of the entries.
The first completed game is the game Kilichenko, Aleksandr – Jerkovic, Leonardo in section 63 ended on 2011.10.03, 18:39 with the result 1-0.
We have 9 completed games by today!

After registration all entries were verified. Final report includes players with new ratings (from rating list 2011/4). Assumed rating for a player without a published rating at the beginning of a cup preliminary round is 1800, unless player’s FIDE rating is higher (12 cases).
One month after closing entries late withdrawals happened. That was very unfortunate, because pairings was made already and resulted enormous additional work. So final status of the entries is presented below.

Final pairings was completed on 01.10.2011.
In the preliminary stage, in each group there is no more than:
- 3 German or Russian players;
- 2 American, Spanish, Polish or Italian players;
- one player from any other country.
With that assumptions we managed to distribute players to groups with average rating from 2105 to 2124, close to average rating of all entries 2115.
We have 64 groups of 13 players and one group of 12 players. 2 players from each group will qualify for semifinals (around 142 entries in total including previous finalists), with 11 players going to a 13 player final (including former World Cup winners).
A player cannot achieve more than 2 qualificatons to semifinals and not more than one place in the final.
The start lists will be issued on 01.10.2011.
The official start date is 30.10.2011, when time counting will begin.
There is a fixed closing date of 01.06.2013.
We hope that it will be a very enjoyable tournament.

Dyrektor strefy 1 (ICCF-Europa), Gian-Maria Tani (ITA), zaprasza europejskie federacje członkowskie do udziału w turnieju drużynowym rozgrywanym za pośrednictwem serwera.
Zawody będą zorganizowane podobnie do Memoriału Harro Otte (wystartował w 2007, a obecnie finał dobiega końca, w którym nasza drużyna ma szanse na 7 miejsce przy 9 zespołach). Jest to druga edycja tej rangi turnieju. Tym razem turniej został poświęcony pamięci Witolda Bieleckiego, delegata Polski do ICCF, który zmarł 05.04.2008.
Każda federacja narodowa ma prawo wystawić jedną drużynę składającą się z 6 osób.
Średni ranking drużyny (wg listy rankingowej 2011/4) nie może być większy niż 2000, drużyna nie może posiadać osoby o rankingu wyższym od 2050, dopuszcza się maksymalnie dwie osoby z rankingiem powyżej 2000. Osoby bez rankingu będą miały przypisany ranking 1800.
Zawody będą dwuetapowe – eliminacje i finał. Grupy będą liczyły od 7 do 9 drużyn. Zawodnicy, których ranking wzrośnie ponad wymagany, będą mogli uczestniczyć w finale, ale każdy zastępca już będzie musiał spełniać ograniczenia rankingowe.
Zawody planuje się uruchomić na przełomie stycznia i lutego 2012.
Do drużyny reprezentującej Polskę mogą kandydować osoby o stałym rankingu ICCF, czyli po rozegraniu minimum 30 partii. W zgłoszeniu osoba kandydująca powinna podać:
- imię i nazwisko, numer identyfikacyjny ICCF, adres zamieszkania, telefon kontaktowy, ważny adres e-mail (zgodny z tym w profilu konta ICCF) oraz czy pełniła już funkcję kapitana drużyny (lub posiada uprawnienia sędziego) i poziom znajomości języka angielskiego.
Zgłoszenia do reprezentacji Polski proszę kierować do delegata (na adres: kszgk.turnieje@gmail.com) do dnia 20.11.2011.
Około 30.11.2011 zostanie ogłoszony skład drużyny (w tym rezerwowi), która będzie reprezentowała Polskę w tym memoriale.
Nie ma wpisowego do tego turnieju.
Jest to unikalna propozycja dla osób o niższym rankingu, które normalnie nie miałyby szans na reprezentowanie kraju oraz start w oficjalnych zawodach drużynowych ICCF.
THE INTERNATIONAL CORRESPONDENCE CHESS FEDERATION
“WITOLD BIELECKI”
MEMORIAL TEAM TOURNAMENT
ICCF-Europa invites entries from member federations to this team tournament, to be played on the ICCF web-server, dedicated to the memory of the former Polish Delegate Witold Bielecki, who died on 5.04.2008.
The event will be organised along similar lines to the “Harro Otte Memorial” (started in 2007) and the European Team Championships.
Each member federation may enter one team of 6 players.
The average ELO rating of each team in the 2011/4 ICCF Rating List must be not higher than 2000 with no player rated above 2050 and a maximum of two players rated over 2000. Unrated players will be listed with an ELO of 1800.
The tournament will be held over two stages with both Preliminary and Final sections having not less than 7 and not more than 9 teams. Players whose ratings increase to over 2050 following the Preliminary section will still be eligible to participate in the Final but any replacement players may be rated not higher than 2050.
Play is scheduled to commence on January / February 2012.
Entries should be submitted not later than 30 November 2011 to the Zonal Director, Gian-Maria Tani, g.m.tani@iccf-europa.com.
All entries should include the following details:
- names, ICCF codes, postal addresses of the players in the team;
- board order;
- name, postal and e-mail address of the Team Captain.
Players whose ICCF ELO rating is above 2000 have to be inserted on the first team boards.
There is no entry fee for this tournament.

o meczu Witold’s Friends – Rest of the World
Drodzy przyjaciele,
Międzynarodowa Federacja Szachów Korespondencyjnych (ICCF) ma zaszczyt ogłosić KSzGK PZSzach głównym organizatorem meczu towarzyskiego Przyjaciele Witolda – Reszta Świata (Witold’s Friends – Rest of the World).
Działając w ICCF wielu z Was znało Witolda Bieleckiego (28.02.1947 – 05.04.2008) osobiście lub korespondencyjnie.
Kilka słów o nim.
Był przewodniczącym Komisji Szachowej Gry Korespondencyjnej oraz delegatem Polski do ICCF przez wiele lat, grał korespondencyjnie oraz działał od 1964, mistrz międzynarodowy (IM) od 1996 oraz sędzia międzynarodowy (IA) od 1978, członek oraz przewodniczący wielu grup roboczych oraz komisji ICCF (Tournaments, Tournament Rules, Playing Rules, Appeals).
Dziesiątki razy pełnił funkcję kapitana drużyny narodowej. Sędziował setki turniejów, w tym 8 edycji finałów Mistrzostw Świata (od 15 do 23, oprócz 19).
Wniósł główny wkład jako organizator (TO) oraz sędzia (TD) do trzech Pucharów Świata (3, 6 i 7 edycja) z rekordową ilością 6.222 (sic!) zgłoszeń.
Podczas Kongresu ICCF 1998 w Rydze (Łotwa) został uhonorowany złotym medalem “Bertl von Massow” za 15 lat nienagannej pracy dla ICCF. Współpracował z “Fernschach” przez wiele lat.
Witek pozostawił żonę Teresę i syna Roberta oraz nas wszystkich nieoczekiwanie, w kwiecie wieku.
Był naszym wielkim szachowym przyjacielem. Oddał swoją duszę i cały wolny czas dla szachów korespondencyjnych. Zawsze gotowy nieść pomoc.
W hołdzie jego wysiłkowi weźmy udział w tym meczu towarzyskim.
Mecz ten jest organizowany jako standardowy mecz z jednym przeciwnikiem dla każdego zawodnika i dwiema partiami do rozegrania (jedna białymi i jedna czarnymi) oraz będzie rozgrywany za pośrednictwem serwera ICCF z tempem gry 50 dni na 10 posunięć lub za pośrednictwem poczty z tempem gry 30 dni na 10 posunięć. Zawody podlegają ocenie rankingowej.
Mecz rozpocznie się 01.03.2012 bez określonej daty zakończenia.
Zgłoszenia są przyjmowane od 01.08.2011 do 01.02.2012.
Zawodnicy mogą się zgłaszać jak zwykle za pośrednictwem swojej federacji narodowej lub bezpośrednio do organizatora.
Zgłoszenia powinny zawierać imię i nazwisko, adres email, ICCF ID, sposób prowadzenia rozgrywki (serwer lub poczta) oraz ewentualne określenie drużyny i powinny zostać przekazane za pośrednictwem emaila do organizatora meczu, którym jest: Mariusz Wojnar, email: mariusz.wojnar@gmail.com, tak aby dotarły przed 01.02.2012.
Przydzielenie zawodników do określonej drużyny nastąpi możliwie losowo, jednak z uwzględnieniem różnorodności geograficznej, rozsądnej różnicy w rankingu oraz życzenia przyłączenia się do określonej drużyny.
Życzymy wszystkim uczestnikom wielu interesujących partii oraz nowych przyjaciół w wielu krajach, pamiętając o motto ICCF:
