Performing ICCF activities many of you knew Witold Bielecki (28.02.1947 – 05.04.2008)<\/strong><\/span> –\u00a0personally or from the distance.<\/p>\n

Just few words about him.<\/p>\n

He was chairman of the Polish Correspondence Chess Federation and Polish delegate to ICCF, correspondence chess player and official since 1964, IM since 1996 and IA since 1978, member and chairman of several ICCF working groups and committees\/ commissions (Tournaments, Tournament Rules, Playing Rules, Appeals).<\/p>\n

He performed function as a national team captain many times. He directed hundreds of tournaments, including eight editions of World Championship final (from 15 to 23, except of 19).<\/p>\n

He laid down main effort as TO and TD for three World Cups (3rd, 6th and 7th) with total amount of 6.222 (sic!) entries.<\/p>\n

During ICCF Congress 1998 in Riga (Latvia) he was awarded with „Bertl von Massow” medal in Gold for 15 years meritorious work for ICCF.<\/p>\n

He cooperated with „Fernschach” for many years.<\/p>\n

Witek left his wife Teresa and his son Robert and all of us unexpectedly, in the prime of his life.<\/p>\n

He was our great chess friend. He put his soul and his spare time into his work for correspondence chess. Always ready to assist you.<\/p>\n

By\u0142 przewodnicz\u0105cym Komisji Szachowej Gry Korespondencyjnej oraz delegatem Polski do ICCF przez wiele lat, gra\u0142 korespondencyjnie oraz dzia\u0142a\u0142 od 1964, mistrz mi\u0119dzynarodowy (IM) od 1996 oraz s\u0119dzia mi\u0119dzynarodowy (IA) od 1978, cz\u0142onek oraz przewodnicz\u0105cy wielu grup roboczych oraz komisji ICCF (Tournaments, Tournament Rules, Playing Rules, Appeals).<\/p>\n

Dziesi\u0105tki razy pe\u0142ni\u0142 funkcj\u0119 kapitana dru\u017cyny narodowej. S\u0119dziowa\u0142 setki turniej\u00f3w, w tym 8 edycji fina\u0142\u00f3w Mistrzostw \u015awiata (od 15 do 23, opr\u00f3cz 19).<\/p>\n

Wni\u00f3s\u0142 g\u0142\u00f3wny wk\u0142ad jako organizator (TO) oraz s\u0119dzia (TD) do trzech Puchar\u00f3w \u015awiata (3, 6 i 7 edycja) z rekordow\u0105 ilo\u015bci\u0105 6.222 (sic!) zg\u0142osze\u0144.<\/p>\n

Podczas Kongresu ICCF 1998 w Rydze (\u0141otwa) zosta\u0142 uhonorowany z\u0142otym medalem „Bertl von Massow” za 15 lat nienagannej pracy dla ICCF. Wsp\u00f3\u0142pracowa\u0142 z „Fernschach” przez wiele lat.<\/p>\n

Witek pozostawi\u0142 \u017con\u0119 Teres\u0119 i syna Roberta oraz nas wszystkich nieoczekiwanie, w kwiecie wieku.<\/p>\n

By\u0142 naszym wielkim szachowym przyjacielem. Odda\u0142 swoj\u0105 dusz\u0119 i ca\u0142y wolny czas dla szach\u00f3w korespondencyjnych. Zawsze gotowy nie\u015b\u0107 pomoc.<\/p>\n
