Marco Caressa (ITA), dyrektor Strefy 1 (Zone 1 – Europe), wybrany w 2015 roku, objął swoje obowiązki z dniem 2016-01-01, ale tuż przed kongresem ICCF 2017 zrezygnował z pełnionej funkcji przed upływem 4-letniej kadencji (2016-2019).
Ogłoszenie ws wyborów na dyrektora Strefy 1 (Zone 1 – Europe)
Zgodnie ze Statutem ICCF muszą się odbyć przedterminowe wybory dyrektora strefy na wakujące stanowisko. Nominacje przedstawiają federacje narodowe.
Aplikacje na dyrektora Strefy 1 (Zone 1 – Europe) należy składać do Delegata Polski do ICCF (na adres e-mail: kszgk.turnieje@gmail.com) nie później niż do 2017-10-10. Kandydat musi należeć do polskiej federacji, czyli KSzK PZSzach. Do zgłoszenia należy dołączyć deklarację wskazującą chęć kandydowania wraz z ewentualnym listem intencyjnym oraz podsumowaniem swoich kwalifikacji.

Kandydatury na dyrektora Strefy 1 zostaną ogłoszone po 2017-10-15 na stronie ICCF i dopiero wtedy może rozpocząć się kampania wyborcza kandydatów.
Wybór spośród kandydatów zgłoszonych przez federacje członkowskie nastąpi w drodze głosowania korespondencyjnego w dniach od 15 do 30 listopada 2017. Kandydat, który otrzyma ponad 50% głosów zostanie wybrany dyrektorem strefy. Jeśli zajdzie potrzeba niezwłocznie odbędzie się drugie głosowanie z terminem oddania głosów do 15 grudnia 2017.

Opis stanowiska: Zonal Director
- The management of each Zone is assigned to a Zonal Director who is responsible for coordinating activities of the member organisations in the Zone.
- The Zonal Director will coordinate with other members of the EB and be responsible for appointing and monitoring Tournament Offices and Tournament
Directors in the Zone, to ensure consistency with ICCF tournament policies and standards. - Represent to the best of his/her ability, the interests of the ICCF within the Zone and those of the Zone within ICCF, without impinging on the rights and duties of member federations or their respective official delegates.
- Actively consider and initiate the promotion and development of CC in all its forms throughout the Zone, in conjunction with the General Secretary, particularly in those countries which are relatively inactive or do not have a CC organisation. Produce plans, arrange actions and monitor outcomes of promotional campaigns/programmes as agreed with the ICCF President and/or members of the EB, as appropriate.
- Be responsible for arranging nominations and elections of Zonal Directors.
- Immediately after his/her election, nominate a deputy to act in his/her absence should he/she be unable to fulfill his/her duties.
